Flowers along my street

The beginning of April seems to open up the earth and explode in joy with beautiful flowers. After a long wet winter, the sun is doing its magic and tricks our senses with spring air and blossoms in the hat. The rabbit already had his show with a stunning Easter Sunday the other days. A 20 minutes walk on my street encountered happy discoveries at every little green corner, dandelions in full colour, daffodils with fresh perfume, cherry blossoms madness and golden forsythia  explosions. Every shrub had celebration clothes, some with vibrant magenta tones, white accents or pure violet in clusters. What a beautiful day to be outside!

The Season of Flowers

Every day I go to work to South Surrey I get to see these beautiful irises at a corner of a street, now about to lose their fragile petals and life because of the heavy rain drops. It was a great inspiration for me to make the piece below, as a wedding present for a friend. The Bird of Paradise flower is just mesmerizing to look at!
